Lindfield Coffee Works was founded in 2015 as a coffee roastery in Lindfield, West Sussex. What began as a passion for great coffee and community has grown into a thriving local business with three cafés, a dedicated roastery, and a wholesale network supplying over 30 hospitality venues.

Our roastery and training space, based just outside Lindfield, houses our production facility, barista training area, and meeting space. We roast all our coffee in small batches and source beans from ethical producers around the world, including direct-trade partnerships with two farms in Colombia. This approach ensures quality, transparency, and fair payment, so far, providing our partner farmers with an extra £4,000 in additional income to reinvest back into their farms to help improve the coffee quality.

Coffee is at the heart of what we do, but our purpose goes further. It’s about connection, care, and opportunity for people here in the UK and in the coffee-growing regions where we source. Our cafés are built around five core values: quality, community, care, teamwork and ownership. We believe in empowering our team to act with initiative, take pride in their work, and create moments that make guests feel genuinely valued. Every customer interaction is an opportunity to deliver outstanding hospitality.

Training and development have always been central to our culture. We provide structured learning for our own teams and for the hospitality businesses we supply, covering barista skills, customer service, and leadership.

As a business, we’re proud to contribute positively both locally and globally, from supporting farmers through direct trade to creating local jobs and offering accessible training. Through our cafés, roastery, and partnerships, we aim to raise standards, inspire confidence, and help people build rewarding careers in hospitality.

Our vision is to become a recognised centre for hospitality excellence in the South East, a place where quality coffee, genuine service, and people development come together.
